Joanna Behar accessories are crafted from cellulose acetate, a plant-based material.

Unlike most plastics, which are derived from petroleum, cellulose acetate is made from wood or cotton. This makes it a more eco-friendly option. Additionally, its versatility in color and texture offers endless creative possibilities, allowing me to bring my most imaginative designs to life.

Cellulose acetate hair clips are primarily made from plant pulp, wood pulp, or cotton fibers. This material is biodegradable under certain conditions and is generally less toxic than traditional plastics. Cellulose acetate hair clips have a low skin allergy rate, even with prolonged contact (except for certain colors). They are resistant to UV radiation and discoloration. Compared to other plastic hair clips, which are prone to breakage and fragility, cellulose acetate clips are stylish, durable, flexible, and strong, making them less likely to be damaged. This durability also contributes to their higher cost compared to other materials.

Earrings

Our acetate earrings are made with 3-micron gold-plated steel rings and hypoallergenic stainless steel posts.

My main pin manufacturer, with whom I have been collaborating since 2016, has their factories located in China, Changsha in Hubei Province. 

Materials

My enamel pins are made from Alloy, brass and stainless steel depending on the complexity of the design and they are each filled with enamel. They are plated gold.

All postcards are printed in Paris, France.My bookmarks are printed in a trusted factory inGuangdong, China.

If you wish to return your purchase it must be mailed with 15 days of your order arrival date. Returns mailed after 15 days of order arrival will be issued store credit. Returned items must be in the same condition as when you received them in order to receive a full refund.
